Andrew Meets Jesus (Matthew 4:18-20)

There was a fisherman named Andrew who lived near the beautiful Sea of Galilee. Every day, Andrew and his brother Simon Peter worked hard catching fish. They would throw their nets into the sea and hope for a big catch to sell at the market.

One day, while Andrew was fixing his fishing nets by the shore, he saw someone walking toward him. It was Jesus, the Son of God!

Jesus looked at Andrew kindly and said, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Andrew was amazed. He knew there was something special about Jesus. Right away, Andrew left his nets behind and followed Him.

From that day on, Andrew’s life changed forever.

Andrew Travels with Jesus

Andrew went everywhere with Jesus. He listened carefully to His teachings and watched many wonderful miracles happen.

He saw Jesus heal sick people and make them well again.

He saw Jesus calm a storm just by speaking.

He saw Jesus show love and kindness to everyone He met.

Andrew learned that Jesus was truly the Son of God.

Feeding the Five Thousand (John 6:1-14)

One day, Jesus was teaching a huge crowd near the Sea of Galilee. So many people came to hear Him speak! As the day went on, everyone became hungry.

Jesus asked Andrew, “Where can we buy bread for all these people?”

Andrew looked around and found a young boy carrying five loaves of bread and two fish.

Andrew brought the boy to Jesus.

Jesus took the bread and fish, thanked God, and began giving the food to the people.

Something amazing happened!

The bread and fish multiplied until everyone had enough to eat. Thousands of people were fed, and there were even leftovers!

Andrew could hardly believe his eyes. He learned that no problem is too big for Jesus.

The Big Catch of Fish

Another unforgettable day happened while Andrew and the other disciples were fishing.

They had worked all night but caught nothing at all. Their nets were empty, and they were tired.

Then Jesus said to Andrew and the others, “Cast your net on the other side of the boat.”

Even though it seemed strange, Andrew obeyed Jesus.

As soon as they dropped the nets into the water, the nets became FULL of fish!

There were so many fish that they could barely lift the nets into the boat.

Andrew was filled with joy and wonder. He knew Jesus had power over everything—even the sea and the fish!

(This is likely the story in John 21:1-14, though it did not specifically mentioned Andrew; perhaps Andrew was one of "the two other disciples")

Andrew Shares the Good News

Andrew loved Jesus very much. He wanted everyone to know about Him.

Andrew even brought his brother Simon Peter to meet Jesus. Peter later became one of Jesus’ closest disciples too. (John 1:40-42)

Andrew traveled to many places telling people about God’s love and salvation. He faithfully followed Jesus and helped others believe in Him.

What We Can Learn from Andrew

Andrew teaches us many important lessons.

He listened when Jesus called him.

He trusted Jesus even when things seemed impossible.

He brought others to Jesus.

He obeyed Jesus with faith.

Just like Andrew, we can trust Jesus every day and tell others about His love.
